Good morning small ball fans across the state of AZ!

We are excited to bring back the support for small ball sports that we started in 2006. The website we have now is ONLY a temporary site until our tech guy is finished putting together our regular site which is pretty much like we had in the past but with even better features.

IF you are new to AZSportsnetwork we are news source that is free to all who want to be a part of what we do. This includes all audio-video-pics that we place on our site. We have never charged for what we do nor will we ever charge.

We promote most sites who support their regional small ball athletes but what makes us the best is that we cover the entire state of Arizona where other just do local sports for their local teams.

We are currently setting up the start-up schedule for our daily talk shows which are audio based with fan interaction. They are podcasts but we really call them shows because we are usually on for up to 3 hours at a time. When we first started back in 2006 we started with a half hour show but eventually our fan base wanted more and we ended up at 3 hours for each daily show.

Although we are a news outlet for small ball sports we do consider ourselves entertainment. We enjoy having fun with what we do but in the end we make sure we get the correct info to our fans across the state of AZ.

Our temporary site is still a work in progress as we load up more content in all areas of our site. If you currently have info from the 7-7 tourneys going on across the state that we miss let us know so we can report on it-or any other sports that involve small ball sports during the summer time.

Also remember that we do post content to our blog more than once a day so check in for more information concerning small ball sports in AZ.

7-7-NAU Competition:

The big news from the NAU 7-7 were the ALA-QC Big Boys who ended up taking 2nd against all competition. See pic below.

Good morning small ball fans across the state of AZ!

Monument Valley HS AZ:

According to Coach Begay out of Monument Valley we would like to give a shout out to Morias Holiday (Navajo), from Monument Valley HS in AZ has signed a letter of intent to further his track and field career at Northern Arizona University!

Page HS, AZ:

According to my info Page HS is currently working under and interim head football coach but my sources say that the Admin at the school are still going to do interviews of all qualified applicants who can fill a qualified certified position at Page HS. All we can say is tick tock-please remember Page has a ridiculous tough schedule after losing TONS from last years top team. It could be a long season for Page especially in their division where they ran up scores last season.

Lets talk about some 7-7/5-5 action from around the State of AZ:

5-5 Superior HS: Here is a quick summary from what our sources reported after this 5-5 at Superior HS:

Ray:

After losing QB Pace to graduation this has left a huge hole in the offense for the Ray team. It seems the issue right now for this in the competition for the QB position is timing. So during the 5-5 summer season they are trying to see who is going to fit the bill after losing the talented Pace.

Superior:

How is life looking POST-Ybarra era?? Well so far it seems that Coach Palmers 2019 team will have some speed as usual. It seems that Coach palmer is still auditioning more people at the QB position than expected. As one coach says," Nobody so far is like Ybarra but then again it is unfair to them to have the comparison".

Hayden:

Coach Estrada has some talent returning especially speed at the skills positions. He did lose a huge chunk of his offense at the RB spots but he has a very good returning QB Arthur Castillo who will be a Junior this season. He will be asked to carry the load this season as they find the running backs who can replace out-going Omar Lopez and Joel Rodriquez who between them accounted for about near 30 TDs on the season.

NFL Yet:

From to different 5-5 reports it looks like NFL Yet has some athletic big bodies with decent speed. The key with NFL Yet is can they match their expectations when it comes to the real football games. They have definitely underperformed most seasons but this could be a year they come out of the gate swinging and playing a season with the talent we now see in the summer.

Ft. Thomas:

It seems that many of the top returning players from Ft Thomas were not at the 5-5 event as they were not impressive. This is a team that is loaded with returning top players especially at the skill sets so hopefully this was not a sign of kids not playing in 2019. We feel they will have those players come their first game.

We will have a full video and pic report from one of our sources tomorrow.

Good morning small school fans across the state of AZ!

AIA 1-3A Football Playoffs:

Lets talk some AIA football playoffs!

Since 2006 when we have done any games and especially playoffs we have never made predictions or give a prediction score. All we do is look at strengths and weaknesses and at times give advantage for a game. So with that said lets talk some football playoffs!

1A Semi-Finals:

Once again with St David out of the playoffs after losing to perennial power and defending state champion Williams Vikings, we have the powerhouse programs of Mogollon, Bagdad, Superior and of course Williams back to the state semi-finals. In most recent years the only way one of these teams has not been in the semi-finals or Finals is when one of these teams defeats another in an earlier round because of the brackets.

This year is no different. In our rankings all 4 of these teams were in our pre-season top 4 and now are in the semi-finals. two of these teams Mogollon and Superior are still undefeated while Bagdad and Williams have only one loss. Williams defeated bagdad in the first game of the season in a come from behind victory while Williams was dominated by region champ Mogollon. William did have some injuries fr that game but we will see if they meet up again if that will now be different since they have those players back.
